New form field type: Date.
A new field of the type “Date” can now be added to the idea form in the configuration. This allows users to specify a target date when submitting an idea, for example – ideal if the plugin is used for task management.
The new date field has the following properties:
- Can be named and positioned as desired
- Supports simple date selection via a calendar picker
- Optional or mandatory configuration
- Is displayed in the idea overview if it is sorted
- Enables better scheduling and prioritization of entries
The Ideation Plugin can therefore not only be used for classic idea collections, but also as a lean tool for tracking tasks with due dates.
New option: Ideas can be edited by all users.
Previously, only the original authors were able to edit their submitted ideas retrospectively – e.g. to change the title or update the status. With the new release, there is now a configuration option with which this can be enabled for all users.
This setting is activated in the plugin configuration and has the following effect:
- All users with access can edit existing ideas
- All editable fields in the form (e.g. title, description, status, target date, etc.) remain editable – depending on the configuration
- Changes can be made directly in the detailed view of an idea
- Ideal for collaborative working methods, e.g. for jointly maintained tasks or project ideas
This new option allows the plugin to be used more flexibly, especially in contexts where ideas are more similar to tasks or to-dos that are maintained by several people.
